Dunn joins from Jackson Walker LLP and Griffin joins from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck. Together, they bring significant experience advising developers, owners, investors, landlords, tenants, lenders, and other market participants on sophisticated real estate matters spanning a broad range of asset classes and industries.

Known for her retail leasing and development practice, Dunn advises shopping center developers, owner-operators, landlords, and tenants on complex leasing, development, and operational matters. Her practice also includes data center leasing and other digital-infrastructure-related real estate matters. She additionally represents clients in restructurings and workouts involving commercial real estate assets, helping preserve value and position portfolios for long-term success.

Griffin advises developers, institutional owners, investors, and lenders on complex transactions across various asset classes, including office, multifamily, industrial, and data center projects. He is particularly known for his work on office and mixed-use developments in the Denver market, where he has advised on prominent projects throughout Lower Downtown, River North, Cherry Creek, and the Central Business District.

The arrivals of Dunn and Griffin continue the recent expansion of Greenberg Traurig's 720-plus-attorney Global Real Estate Practice. Since May, the team also has welcomed Shareholders Joseph W. Creech in Washington, D.C., Carlos Freaner in Mexico, Brian L. Helweil in New York City, Ben Patton in London, Jennifer Polovetsky in New York City and Long Island, Grant Puleo in San Diego, William ("Bill") J. Shaughnessy in Atlanta, Carlos A. Sugich in Phoenix and Mexico, and Patrick Williams in London.

"Tiana and Shane are outstanding additions to our Global Real Estate Practice, and their arrival reflects our strong commitment to attracting the very best legal talent in key markets across the United States and worldwide," Greenberg Traurig Chief Executive Officer Brian L. Duffy said. "Clients value Tiana and Shane for their practical, business-oriented approach to helping them navigate sophisticated real estate matters and for keeping their strategic goals front and center throughout negotiations."

"Our growth strategy is driven by client needs and where we see opportunities to add meaningful capabilities," Greenberg Traurig Co-President and Global Real Estate Practice Co-Chair Michael J. Baum said. "Tiana's and Shane's experience across commercial leasing, development, institutional transactions, and digital infrastructure matters aligns directly with the demand we are seeing across our platform."

During her 20-year legal career, Dunn has advised clients on a broad range of significant commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition financing for three fully occupied Class A retail shopping centers valued at a combined $126 million, and a $100 million commercial mortgage-backed security loan supporting a 1 million-square-foot Class A shopping center. She also has represented a major real estate development group in the negotiation of office and retail leases and advised on the development and leasing of a 971-acre business park with 7 million square feet of industrial and corporate space.

"Greenberg Traurig has built one of the world's premier real estate platforms, and that reputation is a significant reason I chose to join the firm," Dunn said. "Real estate has been a core strength of Greenberg Traurig for decades, and the firm's depth of experience, global reach, and collaborative culture create an outstanding environment for serving clients. I'm excited to work alongside my new colleagues to advise clients on sophisticated leasing, development, and data-center-related matters."

Griffin's experience includes advising some of the nation's leading real estate owners, developers, and investors, including Hines, Invesco, Rockefeller Group, Related Companies, and other institutional market participants.

Among his notable representations, he advised a joint venture between Hines, Perlmutter, and a major financial institution in the sale of 1601 Wewatta, a newly constructed office tower near Denver's Union Station. Valued at approximately $225 million, the transaction marked the highest per-square-foot office sale price in Colorado history and was negotiated and closed in fewer than 30 days.

"I have known and worked with a number of Greenberg Traurig attorneys over many years and have developed tremendous respect for their talent, professionalism, and client-focused approach," Griffin said. "The firm's market-leading global real estate platform, combined with its deep bench of talent across key markets, creates an exceptional opportunity to continue growing my practice while providing clients with the sophisticated, cross-disciplinary counsel they increasingly need to achieve their business objectives."

Dunn earned her J.D. from the South Texas College of Law Houston and her B.A. from the University of Florida. She is admitted to practice law in Texas and New York and plans to join the State Bar of California. Upon admission in California, she is expected to become a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig's San Francisco office. An active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Dunn also speaks regularly on retail leasing and commercial real estate topics.
